Russian President Vladimir Putin visited one of the command posts of the joint group of forces, where he was informed about the situation on the line of contact. This was announced on October 26 by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

"The President held a meeting with the participation of Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and the commanders of the groups involved in the military. All of them reported in detail to the Supreme Commander about the situation on the line of contact," the Kremlin spokesman said.
