Russian military personnel continue their offensive in the area of the special military operation (SVO) — the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Kontor group of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation fully control the sky over Kupyansk, and Russian artillery is increasing fire near Seversk. Izvestia publishes footage of their work on October 26.

"We are working with (multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). — Ed.) BM-21 "Grad". <...> We work when there is a large concentration of infantry or armored vehicles. Yes, the guys are well—coordinated, they work actively, cheerfully," Emil Timashev, deputy platoon commander, commander of a combat vehicle with the call sign Romeo, told Izvestia correspondent.

The commander of a rocket artillery battery with the call sign Boxer, commenting on the successful completion of the combat mission — the elimination of the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — added that the accuracy of the BM-21 Grad MLRS has been verified by almost 95%. An operator of a UAV with the call sign Greek, whose units are cutting off the scattered Ukrainian garrison blocked in the center of Kupyansk from supplies, told Izvestia that his unit had discovered a shelter where armored vehicles of Ukrainian militants of the M-113 model were located. This target, he said, was successfully destroyed.

The footage available to Izvestia shows how Russian fighters bring the drone to a state of combat readiness: first they place it on a special installation, then inspect the device and fix the projectile on it.

"We are preparing the UAV for departure. We will work out the task. Now there will be a free flight, we are looking for the enemy's living force, we will identify targets. Our job is small — to put a bomb, wind it up and make it work," said one of the soldiers.

According to another FPV drone operator with the call sign Svetlana, his units, in addition to the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, eliminate the antennas of enemy drones, as well as destroy their dugouts. His colleague with the call sign Office added that their work can be divided into three stages — they need to support the assault units, protecting them from the air, counteract and eliminate enemy artillery, as well as inflict maximum damage to the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, according to the Izvestia correspondent, are practically cut off from supply.

"It is possible to estimate the scale of the Kupyan operation by using such large networks of underground trenches, which are equipped on almost the entire front line. <...> Here (on the walls of the trenches. You can see these posters, all of which are NATO equipment and probably serve as a reminder of who the fighters have to deal with," summed up Izvestia correspondent Timashev.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the destruction of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by the Metis anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) of the Zapad motorized rifle regiment in the Krasnolimansk area of the SVR.
