Experts investigating the robbery of the French Louvre have found evidence indicating that one of the museum's guards was in contact with potential robbers. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph on October 25, citing sources.

"There is digital forensic evidence that shows that there was cooperation with one of the museum's security guards and the robbers," one of the sources said.

According to him, information about the Louvre's security was passed on to the intruders even before the theft. It is noted that there are records and messages in the evidence base, but the identity of the jewelry thieves from the museum is still unknown.

French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati announced the Louvre robbery on October 19. It was noted that according to preliminary information, the armed criminals who managed to escape managed to steal jewelry. On the same day, the newspaper Le Parisien learned about the discovery near the scene of the robbery of the broken crown of the wife of Emperor Napoleon III Eugenie, which, among other decorations, was exhibited in the gallery "Apollo". The Louvre opened its doors to visitors three days after the robbery.
