What happened

Netizens posted videos showing a group of people fighting each other with shovels, road signs, sticks and stones. At the same time, the participants in the fight also damaged cars parked nearby.

The police reported that 102 received a number of appeals from citizens. It was not specified whether there were any victims.

The reaction of law enforcement agencies

Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, said that a criminal case had been opened into the fight in Prokshino. The police detained about 40 people. According to Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"), violators face up to seven years in prison.
