- Hackers have revealed the vulnerabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces databases
The databases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are quite vulnerable, as, despite foreign funding, they have "holes". One of the members of the Russian hacker organization Killnet told Izvestia about this on October 25 on condition of anonymity.
"The most important vulnerability is the <...> human factor. And in every system there is a weak link that will merge all the information without even realizing that he did it. To them (Ukraine. America allocates a lot of money for security, but it's still as leaky as it was before," one of them said.
The hacker clarified that this operation lasted for quite a long period, as he and his colleagues were faced with the task of downloading all the data so that none of the owners of the affected computers and gadgets would guess about it.
The Izvestia interlocutor noted that it was pointless to restore the lost documents, since they contained the most important information about the activities of the largest manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Combat Birds of Ukraine, therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which had been "paralyzed for several months," needed to develop new technical documentation.
Earlier, on October 21, the KillNet group reported hacking the database of one of the largest Ukrainian drone marketplaces for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, extracting personal data of employees. The hack was carried out after hackers gained access to the system of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
