Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree according to which the import of goods from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan that do not have the markings of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by road across the border is allowed until December 10 of this year. The relevant decree was published on October 24 on the official portal for the publication of legal acts.
"Allow, by December 10, 2025, the import into the Russian Federation <...> by road of goods from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, the recipients of which are Russian legal entities, without documents confirming the status of goods as goods of the Eurasian Economic Union, without labeling and (or) applying information provided for by the requirements of the law of the Eurasian Economic Union and (or) the legislation of the Russian Federation," the text of the document says.
According to the decree, the import of these goods, if certain conditions are met, does not violate customs regulations, as well as labeling and information requirements in accordance with Russian law.
Earlier, on October 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the diplomacy between Putin and Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gives the necessary dynamics to the entire complex of Russian-Kazakh cooperation.
