More than 99% of Americans are unaware that Russia has in the past offered to allow NATO to join the North Atlantic Alliance. This was announced on October 24 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
"And imagine, I'm willing to bet that 99.999% of Americans don't know that President Putin offered to join NATO," he said in an interview with journalist Lara Logan.
