The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were not ready to conduct military operations in the Kursk region. This was announced on October 24 by Russian law enforcement agencies.

"It is obvious that not only the 82nd brigade, but the entire Ukrainian group was not ready for the realities of war on foreign territory. The brigade commander threw the untrained personnel to the slaughter right away," TASS quoted the security forces as saying.

According to the source, the Ukrainian commander of the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade complained about the unpreparedness of the personnel. He said that the newly arrived fighters had not completed a two-week adaptation course and therefore were not ready for autonomous combat operations. In addition, the commander blamed the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Kursk region on the junior officers.

On October 24, five Ukrainian militants who voluntarily surrendered told Izvestia that the situation of the AFU units in the Red Army area was deteriorating. The command sends new recruits to the front without proper training.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
