The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Dmitriev announced that the Russian Federation and the United States are working on plans for the exchange of prisoners.

Moscow and Washington are discussing the possibility of another exchange of prisoners who are not serving sentences in "high-profile" cases. This was announced on October 24 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation (RDIF).

In an interview with American journalist Lara Logan, he said that he had previously personally participated in the preparation of one of these trials together with US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff.

"There are also some ideas about other broad exchanges that could take place, perhaps not so much in relation to high-profile cases as in relation to the usual ones," he said in an interview.
