Kursk contractor testified against DPR deputy in the case of fortifications
As part of the investigation into the construction of defensive structures in the Kursk region, the head of the Siemi company, Vitaly Singovsky, testified that the former deputy of the ex-governor of the region, Alexei Dedov, had received a bribe of 6 million rubles. This was reported by TASS on October 24.
"The Xingovskys provided information about Dedov receiving a bribe in the amount of 6 million rubles for the admission of commercial organizations to perform work on state and municipal contracts in the Kursk Region," the state prosecutor said.
According to the state prosecutor, these funds were transferred to Dedov for providing commercial organizations with access to state and municipal contracts in the region. During Singovsky's cooperation with the investigation, it also became clear that Dedov, ex-deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma Maxim Vasiliev and deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Tatyana Bondarenko may be involved in embezzlement of budget funds.
Bondarenko, presumably, was engaged in the selection of companies to cash out the money allocated for the construction of fortifications. The state prosecutor clarified that the "kickback" to officials amounted to 10% of the contract amount, according to Singovsky's testimony. Singovsky himself, accused of embezzlement and embezzlement during construction, pleaded guilty. The court session was postponed to November 1.
In August, former Kursk Region Governor Alexei Smirnov, who was detained on April 16, and his ex-deputy Alexei Dedov pleaded guilty and entered into a cooperation agreement with the investigation into embezzlement during the construction of fortifications on the border with Ukraine. The defendants were charged with embezzlement of over 1 billion rubles.
