Ukraine is currently moving towards a more realistic position on resolving the conflict, and the people who are calling for its continuation are doing so based on their own interests. This was announced on October 24 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"I think it is very important to end the conflict, but at the same time have realistic expectations about what a real solution might be, what is acceptable to Russia, what is acceptable to Ukraine. I think Ukraine is also moving towards a more realistic position," he said in an interview with journalist Lara Logan.

According to Dmitriev, it is necessary to resolve the conflict, but for this it is important to clearly understand the priorities of each side.
