More than 90,000 people from Russia and dozens of other countries have joined the Moscow projects for innovators. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.
An ecosystem has been formed in the capital to support young developers. It is based on the Academy of Innovators program, the Innovator of Moscow competition and the Leaders of Digital Transformation hackathon.
"More than 90,000 inventors from all over Russia and dozens of other countries, including Belarus, China, Thailand, India and the United Arab Emirates, have already joined these capital projects," Sergunina said. About 25% are in the Russian regions, among the most active are the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod and Sverdlovsk regions, Primorsky Krai. Residents create products in a wide variety of formats. Among the popular ones are services for automating processes, mobile applications, solutions based on artificial intelligence, and others.
On the online platform of the Academy of Innovators, users can take free courses on data analytics, IT competencies, and investment attraction. There is also a map of requests from large companies to develop specific solutions.
The key element of the academy is an accelerator with expert support and presentation of products to investors. Participants of the Moscow Innovator contest also get access to the platform's materials. Since the launch of the project in 2020, 210 metropolitan solutions have been awarded prizes.
The Leaders of Digital Transformation hackathon is held annually for representatives of the IT industry. Over the weekend, the results of the seventh season of the hackathon were summed up. 1379 teams took part in it, 60 of them became the best in their categories.
