The court arrested the ex-head of Rostov-on-Don, Logvinenko, until December 23.

The court arrested the former head of the Rostov-on-Don administration Alexei Logvinenko in a case of abuse of office. He is in custody until December 23. This was reported on October 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case against Logvinenko. According to the investigation, in 2020, the official, being the head of the Rostov-on-Don city administration, contrary to the requirements of budget legislation, attracted a loan from a commercial bank.

As a result of Logvinenko's illegal actions, the city's budget suffered damage amounting to more than 47 million rubles.
