Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has appealed to US President Donald Trump in English to abandon military action against Caracas. The corresponding appeal was recorded on October 24 during a trade union rally in the Venezuelan capital and broadcast on the YouTube channel Firstpost.

"I want peace forever, without any crazy war," Maduro said in English, after which he repeated these words in Spanish.

The Venezuelan leader also joked about his pronunciation, calling it "Tarzan's English." Maduro said that Washington is waging a psychological war against Caracas, referring to the deployment of American troops in the Caribbean near the Venezuelan borders. The appeal was made against the background of the aggravation of relations between the two countries.

Earlier, on October 23, US President Donald Trump said that media reports about B-1 bombers sent to the border with Venezuela were not true.

Earlier, on October 17, the US military attacked a ship in the Caribbean Sea allegedly carrying drugs. The anonymous official noted that the United States is carrying out such attacks allegedly as part of the fight against drug-terrorist groups from Venezuela.

In addition, on October 14, six people died as a result of a similar strike on the ship. According to Trump, US intelligence confirmed that the boat was carrying drugs and was linked to illegal drug and terrorist networks.
