French President Emmanuel Macron has announced his readiness to transfer Mirage fighter jets and Aster missiles to Ukraine as part of increased military support. He made the corresponding statement on October 24 in an official statement published on the page of the Elysee Palace on the social network X (former. Twitter).
"In the coming days, we will supply additional Aster missiles, conduct new training programs for the Ukrainian military and send additional Mirage aircraft," Macron said.
The French president also announced plans, together with coalition partners, to announce new initiatives to support Ukraine, including strengthening energy infrastructure.
Earlier, on October 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a personal meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, made special requests regarding increased military support for Ukraine. Following the talks, Merz said that Berlin would explore the possibility of using German technologies to protect Ukraine's energy and water infrastructure.
