A fire broke out in a wooden mosque in the Pestrechinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, two people were injured. This was announced on October 24 by the Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"A fire was reported in a one—story wooden mosque at 4 Parkovaya Street in the village of Pestretsy, Pestrechinsky district. <...> Two men were injured in the fire," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that rescuers have already eliminated the open gorenje. The injured were hospitalized in the Pestrechinsky district hospital.

The cause of the fire will be determined by the investigators of the State Supervision, concluded the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On the night of October 17-18, a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Novosibirsk. According to Konstantin Gavrin, deputy head of the Interior Ministry department for the region, four people died as a result of the incident. As noted in the city hall, 26 people were evacuated from the building, 17 residents were able to leave the building on their own. Later, a man suspected of setting fire to a high-rise building was detained in the city of Tomsk.
