The roof collapsed at the Ladoga railway station in St. Petersburg.
A partial collapse of the roof structure over the parking lot in the area of Zolnaya Street occurred at Ladoga Railway Station in St. Petersburg. This was announced on October 24 by the press service of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.
"There has been a local collapse of the asphalt pavement in the parking area of motor vehicles," the press service's Telegram channel says.
According to the Investigative Committee, fragments of the structure fell on the railway tracks. The entrance to the station from Zolnaya Street is temporarily closed, and cars have been evacuated from the parking area.
Investigators and criminologists are examining the scene, and the Oktyabrskaya Railway commission has launched an internal audit to determine the causes of the collapse.
According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, train traffic is unchanged.
On October 23, 46 children were evacuated from the hospital in Novosibirsk after the ceiling collapsed. It was clarified that the building, built in 1952, was completely renovated in 2019, including the reconstruction of the roof.
