The Interior Ministry told about the deception by fraudsters of the relatives of the dead soldiers of the SVO

Scammers deceive the relatives of the deceased participants of the SVO, using information collected through photographs of graves. This was announced on October 24 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Malefactors, on a paid basis or under the pretext of instructions from law enforcement agencies, convince citizens to photograph tombstones in order to record their full names, dates of birth and death," the department's Telegram channel says.

The Interior Ministry clarified that fraudsters can use photos and videos from the alley of heroes not only for deception, but also in psychological operations.

Attackers can speculate on the topics of rest and payments by November 4.

On October 23, the Russian Interior Ministry gave advice on how to help a person who has been influenced by fraudsters. The department recalled that attackers use various methods of psychological pressure on a person, which cause anxiety, decreased ability to think critically, and sometimes "recruitment syndrome."

The Interior Ministry advises to remain calm, speak quietly and confidently, and act as an assistant rather than as a judge.
