The Kislovodsk City Court has detained a horseman who attacked two pensioners with a whip near the Central City Lake. This was announced on October 24 by the press service of the Courts of the Stavropol Territory.

"The Kislovodsk City Court has considered and granted the investigator's request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of Mr. E.," the press service's Telegram channel says.

The accused was charged under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Hooliganism with the use of objects as weapons."

According to investigators, the incident occurred on a pedestrian embankment, where horseback riding is prohibited. When the pensioners made a remark to the masked riders, one of them started beating the elderly with a whip. The court's decision on the arrest has not yet entered into force.

Horse riders attacked pensioners in Kislovodsk on October 22. The couple made remarks to two masked horsemen for riding horses in the wrong place. One of the riders first cursed with the man, and then directed his horse at the couple. The first blow of the rider hit the woman in the face, and the second on the arm, the man was hit on the forearm.
