- The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit against the former owner of Yuzhuralzolot Strukov.
On October 24, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a new lawsuit with the Plast City Court of the Chelyabinsk Region against Konstantin Strukov and his daughters, a former shareholder of Yuzhuralzoloto Group of Companies (YUGK).
"Indeed, such a claim has been filed in court," the court told TASS.
It is noted that the Prosecutor General's Office requests that property with a total value of 1.4 billion rubles, as well as 3.5 billion rubles of cash, be converted into state revenue. According to the investigation, they were obtained through corruption.
A source from Izvestia reported on July 5 that the Russian Prosecutor General's Office was demanding that Strukov's assets be confiscated. According to the agency, he illegally took over Yuzhuralzoloto and 10 other companies that are registered to his daughter, a Swiss citizen.
On the same day, it became known that the businessman was banned from flying from Chelyabinsk. According to the Izvestia source, Strukov tried to leave the city on a private jet, which had previously been arrested by court order. The Federal Air Transport Agency did not give permission for the aircraft to take off.
