Lavrov and Nahyan discussed cooperation between Russia and the UAE and the Middle East

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Middle East during a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This was reported by the WAM news agency on October 24.

"The parties also reviewed the bilateral cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation in various fields and ways to strengthen it within the framework of the outstanding strategic partnership between the two countries," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the heads of state also discussed the current regional and international situation, including the situation in the Middle East.

Earlier, on August 7, at a meeting with UAE Leader Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that mutual investments between the two countries are growing.
