Repair of the Lermontovka – Vakhrushev highway on Sakhalin will be completed within a month

In the Poronaisky district of the Sakhalin Region, they plan to complete the overhaul of the Lermontovka–Vakhrushev road section by November 20. The regional Ministry of Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on Friday, October 24.

Work is underway on a 1.46 km section of approximately the 4th to 5th km of the road. The contractor, which is Rinzin LLC, is currently laying the top layer of asphalt and marking it.

In the future, work is planned to equip pedestrian crossings and bus stops with access pockets. An outdoor lighting system and a railing will also be installed, SakhalinMedia news agency clarifies.

In 2024, an old culvert was replaced on the 4th km of the Lermontovka -Vakhrushev road to avoid flooding of the village of Vostok during the passage of floods.

Earlier it was reported that in the Sakhalin Region, they began dismantling the emergency bridge over the Khristoforovka River on the 5th km of the Larch –Okhotskoye highway. On October 22, traffic was started on the temporary bypass bridge.
