Residents of the regions of the Russian Federation and a number of foreign countries will be able to attend the action "Science around us"

On October 24, the All-Russian educational campaign "Science around us" starts. It will cover all regions of the country, as well as a number of neighboring countries, including Abkhazia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and South Ossetia. The campaign will end on the Day of the Higher School Employee, November 19. Its main task is to demonstrate modern achievements, enable scientists to present their discoveries and share knowledge in various fields.

The events are organized by the Znanie Society and precede the Znanie marathon.Science, which will be held on October 30-31 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Anyone can join the campaign. Video lectures of the Russian Society "Znanie" are available for all those who are interested in science. Among them are the documentary series "Icebreaker of Knowledge" and the films Znanie.Science, a series of TED lectures "Facets of Meanings", Lectures and excursions to the unique locations of Rosatom State Corporation. Additionally, video tours of Russia's outstanding scientific centers — the academic towns of Serpukhov, Obninsk and Chernogolovka - have been prepared.

The bright events of the Science Around Us campaign will be the meetings of the governors with students and young scientists, which will be held at the sites of federal universities, regional research centers and universities participating in the Priority 2030 program. In the format of an open dialogue, young people will learn about the role of regional science in the development of the country, measures to support research and career opportunities that open up for talented children in various fields.

The Knowledge marathon will be the culmination of the campaign.Nauka, which will be held in Moscow on October 30-31. 5,000 people will be able to listen to lectures by leading scientists live, and the whole country will be able to connect to the broadcast of a large—scale event. The organizers are the Russian Society "Znanie" and the Moscow Polytechnic University with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Events of the Znanie campaign and marathon.Science is timed to coincide with the Decade of Science and Technology announced by President Vladimir Putin and the national project "Youth and Children".
