The harvesting of grain and leguminous crops continues in the Moscow region. The regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported on the progress of the harvesting campaign on Friday, October 24.

At the moment, more than 336 thousand tons of grain have been harvested, which is 59 thousand tons higher than the results of the previous 2024. The main part is wheat (almost 327 thousand tons). This is followed by winter rye (7 thousand tons) and triticale (2.2 thousand tons).

The harvest was harvested from an area of 160.3 thousand hectares, with an average of 42.5 hundredweight per hectare. A year earlier, this figure was lower and amounted to 35.1 hundredweight per hectare.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, 91% of the planned areas have already been sown with winter crops for the 2026 harvest. More than 73.5 thousand hectares were allocated for wheat, 2.4 thousand hectares for rye, and 727 hectares for triticale.

Earlier it was reported that by 2030, Russia intends to increase grain exports by about 14% compared to 2024, to almost $20 billion. The supply of fat and oil products should increase by a similar amount and reach about $10 billion.
