Experts will help Pskov business to increase competitiveness
ANO "Public Capital" has concluded partnership agreements with the Pskov branches of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Union of Machine Builders and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The parties signed the documents on cooperation at the Investment Hospitality Forum in the government of the region.
Asiyat Bagatyrova, General Director of the NGO "Public Capital", stressed that the regional government is making efforts to create a favorable business climate. "But it is important that businesses take a responsible attitude towards their employees, take care of the environment and actively participate in social projects," she added.
In particular, the agreement implies the introduction of the Public Capital Standard, a tool for evaluating non—financial activities. It assumes transparent non-financial reporting, a public capital index and support measures for companies focused on long-term development and public benefit, Alexander Kozlovsky, Curator of the Pskov Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Machine Builders and head of the regional branch of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, said at the signing.
"The Public Capital standard will help local governments monitor these processes, and companies to build corporate social responsibility into a unified and organic system," said the head of Public Capital. She noted that thanks to the standard, businesses will be able to reflect their achievements in socially useful activities, "using only one comprehensive tool."
On October 23, a similar agreement was signed during a meeting with representatives of the all-Russian public organization Delovaya Rossiya in the Pskov region. In addition, a seminar was held for members of the community, where they talked about the goals and features of the Standard of Public Business Capital.
