The Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, announced the activation of the housing market in the country, noting that mortgage lending is growing at about 1% per month at a balanced pace. She announced this on October 24 at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia on the key rate.

Earlier, on October 24, at a meeting of the Board of Directors, the Bank of Russia lowered its key rate by 0.5 percentage points for the fourth time in a row, setting it at 16.5% per annum.
