The Interior Ministry warned about fraud with restrictions on the number of SIM cards

Scammers use the topic of restrictions on the number of SIM cards to extort personal data and money. This was announced on October 24 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"After the news about the checks of telecom operators and the limitation of the number of SIM cards registered per citizen, the attackers came up with a new legend. They call and inform you that your number is "temporarily blocked due to exceeding the limit" or "subject to re-registration," the department's Telegram channel said.
