A worker fell from a height while painting a school gym in Kamchatka

In the city of Yelizovo in the Kamchatka Territory, a check has been organized on the fact that a worker fell from a height while painting a school gym. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The incident occurred the day before, on October 23, at a secondary school in Yelizovo. According to preliminary data, a 60-year-old worker fell from a scaffolding from a height of 5 m while painting a gym.

The man suffered various head and torso injuries. He is currently in the hospital, KamchatkaMedia news agency writes.

On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee organized an inspection under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of labor protection requirements". Based on its results, a decision will be made to initiate a criminal case.

In September, scaffolding collapsed near an uninhabited building in the Tverskoy district of Moscow. According to the Izvestia source, three workers were injured in the incident.
