China is committed to ending the Ukrainian crisis and will play a constructive role in advancing its political settlement. This was announced on October 24 by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun.
"China is tirelessly striving for a cease—fire and an end to hostilities, advocating reconciliation and promoting dialogue," the diplomat said, commenting on a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that Beijing allegedly "supports Russia."
