Delhi will not conclude trade deals with the United States under external pressure. This was announced on October 24 by Indian Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal at the Berlin Global Dialogue conference.

"We are, of course, negotiating with the United States, but we don't make deals in a hurry and we don't make deals with tight deadlines or at gunpoint," the Hindustan Times quoted the minister as saying.
