Ex-Deputy Defense Minister Ivanov was sued over utility bills
Mosenergosbyt has filed a lawsuit in the world court against Timur Ivanov, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, who was convicted of embezzlement and embezzlement due to utility bills. This was reported to Izvestia in court on October 24.

The former deputy minister was detained on April 23, 2024. He is charged with receiving a bribe. According to investigators, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors who worked at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense. Ivanov signed contracts with them in exchange for a personal reward.
On July 1, he was sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony. In addition, he must pay a fine of 100 million rubles. The former deputy minister was also stripped of his state award and the title of Honored Builder of the Russian Federation.
On August 27, a new criminal case was opened against Ivanov. On September 23, it became known that on November 6, the court would hold a preliminary hearing on the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for the seizure of the property of the ex-Deputy Minister of Defense to the state revenue.
