Demand for used Chinese cars has increased in Russia

In July-September, demand for used cars of Chinese brands increased by 31.5% compared to the first quarter of 2025. This was reported to Izvestia on October 24 by Avito Auto analysts.

The average price of used cars decreased by 6.1%, to 1,650,000 rubles. In the third quarter of 2025, Geely, Chery, and Changan Haval cars were the most popular. Among the models, Geely Monjaro, Chery Tiggo (T11), Geely Coolray, Haval Jolion, Lifan Solano, Lifan X60, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Geely Emgrand EC7, Li Auto L7 and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max were particularly in demand.

Compared to the first quarter of 2025, cars of the Li Auto brands (demand for this brand increased by one and a half times), Changan (2.3 times growth), Zeekr (2 times), Voyah (+95%) and Omoda (+57%) brands began to attract more attention. Among the models, the Li Auto L7 became the leader in demand dynamics, with its popularity growing 2.7 times. Among the more popular models, Geely Monjaro (+60%) and Coolray (+57%), Haval Jolion and Geely Atlas (44% each) became noticeably in demand.

The car brands Chery (21.1% of the offer), Geely (18.4%), Haval (11.1%), Lifan (7.4%) and Changan (7.1%) had the most ads for sale. Among individual models, Geely Coolray (3.5%), Haval Jolion (3.4%), Geely Monjaro (3.3%), Chery Tiggo (T11) (3.2%) and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (2.3%) were the leaders in terms of the share in the offer.

The largest increase in the number of ads was recorded for Tank (+31.1%), Omida (+28.7%), Jetour (+27.8%), Changan (+23.3%). Among the models, Geely Atlas (+29.5%), Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (+26.7%), OMODA C5 (+24.8%) began to appear more often on sale. Chery Tiggo (T11) (+17,2%), Haval Jolion (+16,8%).

Earlier, the Autostat agency reported that in September 2025, a record number of used passenger cars were imported to Russia — 48.4 thousand units. This is the highest figure in the last two years. It was noted that the main increase was provided by individuals who continued to actively purchase used cars.
