Russia's press attache in Nepal, Alexander Ivashev, commented on October 24 in an interview with Izvestia that a group of Russians descending from Mount Manaslu in Nepal were allegedly stuck there.

He said that on October 22, the group climbed to the top of Manaslu and, without stopping there, began the descent. Due to the weather conditions, we had to stay late and now we have to wait out the bad weather conditions and resume the descent.

Neither the group nor their relatives contacted the Russian Embassy, only local rescuers. The embassy received all the information from the Nepalese side. He said that everything is under control so far, they are waiting for their descent.
