The maximum amount of maternity allowance in Russia will be 955 thousand rubles. This was announced on October 24 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Tatyana Butskaya.

"The maternity allowance, according to the draft budget, will amount to 955 thousand rubles in 2026," RIA Novosti quoted Butskaya as saying.

On October 23, the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, announced the need to direct maternity capital to support large families. According to the speaker, all additional support measures at both the federal and regional levels should be focused on encouraging the birth of third and subsequent children in Russia.

Earlier, on September 24, it became known that the new budget for the next three years provides 10 trillion rubles to support families with children. In particular, about 1.8 trillion rubles will be used to subsidize the mortgage interest rate for all families with children, and over 300 billion rubles will be used for one—time payments to parents with many children (450 thousand rubles) to partially repay the debt.
