Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva did not qualify for the WTA semifinals
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva did not qualify for the Final tournament of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) on October 24, losing to the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina.
Rybakina was Andreeva's main rival, earning 4,350 tournament points in 2025 and advancing to the semifinals in Tokyo.
Andreeva, with 4319 points, remains the first reserve contender if one of the first eight refuses to compete or one of its participants is injured. However, Andreeva will take part in the WTA doubles with Russian Diana Schneider.
On October 10, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev lost to Frenchman Arthur Rinderknes, who ranks 54th in the world rankings, and failed to reach the final of the Shanghai Masters tournament. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 29 minutes and ended with a score 6:4, 2:6, 4:6. The French tennis player reached the semi-finals stage at the Masters tournaments for the first time.
