In the Rostov region, the air defense forces repelled a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in ten districts of the region. This was announced on October 24 by the governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar.

"At night, air defense forces and means repelled a massive air attack, destroying and intercepting UAVs in Taganrog, Novoshakhtinsk, Krasnosulinsky, Myasnikovsky, Kamensky, Zimovnikovsky, Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Sholokhovsky districts," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor clarified that there were no casualties. Several fires were quickly extinguished by rescue units on duty.

In addition, apartment buildings, a preschool and a technical school were left without electricity in Novoshakhtinsk due to a fire. Emergency services were able to resume the supply of electricity in some areas, but at the moment about 1.5 thousand people remain without it.

Earlier on October 23, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that a self-defense fighter was injured as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the region. In addition, he added that in Belgorod, as a result of the incident, a window in an apartment building was blown out, a private household was damaged, 13 cars were cut down, the roof of a garage and one of the buildings of a city enterprise were pierced.
