One person was killed and another injured in an accident on the Kolyma highway R504, also known as the Kolyma Highway. This was reported on October 24 in the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the Magadan region.

"It was previously established that the 58-year-old driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 lost control and overturned the vehicle on the roadway. As a result of a road accident, the 71-year—old passenger of the SUV died at the scene before the ambulance arrived," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that the man driving was injured and was taken to a medical facility. An inspection was organized by the staff of the State Traffic Inspectorate on the fact of the incident.
