The State Duma will introduce a progressive scale of additional payments for people over 70 years old

The Fair Russia — For Truth faction plans to submit to the State Duma a bill that provides for the introduction of a progressive scale of pension supplements for pensioners over 70 years of age. This follows from the documents that appeared at the disposal of RIA Novosti on October 24.

The initiators of the project were party leader Sergei Mironov and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society Yana Lantratova.

According to the draft law, it is proposed to increase the fixed pension payment by 100% for citizens over 70 years of age and group I disabled people. For pensioners over 80 years of age — by 200%, and for those over 90 years of age — by 300%. Based on the current fixed base payment of 8.9 thousand rubles, it is proposed to create a progressive scale for all pensioners, including those who receive a social pension for old age or disability, as well as a survivor's pension.
