British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during a meeting of the coalition of the willing, will advocate an increase in the supply of long-range systems to Ukraine and the completion of work with frozen Russian assets. This was announced on October 24 on the website of the press service of the British government.

"It is expected that during the telephone conversation, the Prime Minister will appeal to the leaders to provide Ukraine with the strongest possible positions ahead of winter," the publication says.

It is clarified that Starmer plans to raise the issue of strengthening Ukraine's position by providing Kiev with long-range systems and issuing a "reparation loan" from the frozen assets of the Russian Federation. In his opinion, these actions should continue the activities of US President Donald Trump to achieve peace.

The press service added that about 20 leaders of states, including President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, should attend the meeting. In addition, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is expected to take part in the discussions.

The Axios portal, citing sources, reported on October 17 that Starmer, during a conversation between Zelensky and European leaders, proposed working with the United States on a draft peace agreement on the Ukrainian conflict. In addition, the NATO Secretary General took the initiative to hold a joint call between the national security advisers of European countries next weekend.
