US President Donald Trump is looking for ways to influence both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to convince them to negotiate. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the United States to NATO Matthew Whitaker.

"President Trump is trying to explore ways to keep up the pressure on [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, to keep up the pressure, frankly, on [the president of Ukraine] Vladimir Zelensky, as well as to look for new ways to continue pressure to bring both sides to the negotiating table to reach a ceasefire agreement," he said in an interview with Newsmax TV channel.
