Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump want to create a new "picture of the world" and, not feeling much sympathy for the European Union (EU), they are discussing not only Ukraine. This was announced on October 23 by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

"There is no doubt that the two presidents do not, in diplomatic terms, have much love for the EU. <...> They want to develop a different map of the world: political, economic, energy, and they are not only talking about Ukraine," he said on Serbian Radio and Television (RTS).

Vucic added that the Russian and American presidents, in his opinion, "build their own" in their conversations, in particular, they discuss the Arctic and the creation of communications through the Bering Strait. They also, as the Serbian leader stressed, raise issues about the separation of rare metals, raw materials, oil and gas, which may occur in the future, so European leaders will "do everything" to interfere with the negotiation process between the Russian Federation and the United States.

On October 2, Putin, speaking at the plenary session of the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club, said that the former international institutions of global governance had lost their force. According to the President of the Russian Federation, they did not solve, but created new world problems.
