Third countries should not interfere in bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. This was announced on October 23 by the press secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Washington, Liu Pengyu.

"The usual bilateral cooperation, third countries should not interfere in it," the senior diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In addition, he added that Russian-Chinese cooperation is not directed against other states.

Earlier, on October 16, Liu Pengyu said that China rejects the imposition of unilateral sanctions and any other forms of pressure from the United States because of cooperation with Russia. A spokesman for the diplomatic mission pointed out the reasonableness and legitimacy of cooperation between countries, including China and the Russian Federation, within the international community. According to him, such relationships should be protected and respected.
