The most promising areas for increasing exports from Tajikistan to Russia are the supply of agricultural products, ready-made food products, raw materials and fabrics. The Russian Ambassador to the republic, Semyon Grigoriev, told Izvestia on October 24.

"The supply of agricultural products and ready-made food products is one of the most promising areas for increasing exports from Tajikistan to Russia. Undoubtedly, this is the most obvious and fastest-growing category of goods, especially taking into account Tajikistan's favorable climatic conditions for growing many crops," he said.

The Ambassador noted that early vegetables and fruits, such as apricots and grapes, are already being supplied to the Russian market and are in high demand.,
There is a great potential for exporting nuts: pistachios, almonds, walnuts, dried fruits: dried apricots, apricots, raisins, as well as fruit compotes and juices, purees, jams and jams. However, as Grigoriev emphasized, the current supply volumes can also be significantly increased. In addition, he added, Tajikistan has significant cotton production facilities, and against the background of the existing plans of local authorities for the development of the textile industry, the organization of supplies of raw materials, finished fabrics and sewing products to Russia looks promising.

"Directly on the territory of the republic, you can arrange custom tailoring of Russian brands. Given that many Russian companies are already moving production to Central Asia, Tajikistan may become a new outsourcing platform," Grigoriev said.

According to him, in his opinion, another promising area is the supply of construction and finishing materials, manufactured household chemicals based on medicinal herbs and phytoproducts from Tajikistan, which can become a good alternative to brands that have left the Russian market.

On July 4, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, noted a 7% increase in trade between these countries. He stressed that the figure exceeded the mark of 44 billion rubles, and also added that there are opportunities to increase trade volumes in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, mining and energy.
