President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that China does not provide military assistance to Ukraine and is not interested in Russia's defeat. He made the corresponding statement on October 23 during a conversation with journalists, which was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the office of the President of Ukraine.

"[Chinese President] Xi [Jinping] told me that he would not sell weapons. I know one thing: China is helping Russia. China is not helping Ukraine. China is not interested in our victory and Russia's defeat," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader also announced the possibility of receiving Tomahawk cruise missiles in the near future, noting that "every day brings something new." In addition, Zelensky called the cancellation of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin the main result of his talks at the White House.

On October 23, Zelensky announced that Ukraine was discussing the transfer of Tomahawk missiles with EU countries. According to him, Ukraine is already in a detailed conversation with a number of European countries on this issue.

Earlier, on October 19, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said that the American leader had not yet made a final decision on the supply of Tomahawk to Kiev. He noted that the Trump administration intends to continue long-term work on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
