The head of the Deposit Insurance Agency, Andrei Melnikov, pleads not guilty in the case of fraud on a particularly large scale. This was reported to Izvestia by his lawyer Nikita Filippov.

The lawyer stated that Melnikov had been given a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months. In addition, the defense intends to appeal against this court ruling.
