The carsharing told about the popularity of premium cars at night
For long trips, carsharing users are more likely to choose premium cars, and for short urban routes, economy and comfort categories. Delimobil analysts told Izvestia about this on October 24.
It is noted that the peak of rent falls during the daytime, but with the onset of the evening the picture changes. The higher the status of the car, the more often it is ordered after sunset. Morning hours have become the least popular. Now cars are taken not only for trips to work, but also for any tasks during the day.
Economy class cars are most often taken for short daytime routes. Comfort cars are in second place. Premium models — Audi A5 and BMW X1 - show the greatest rental distances and time. They are chosen for trips throughout the day and evening. The real record holders in terms of duration are the flagship models — Audi A7, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz E-class, which are especially in demand for night trips and long-term rentals.
Earlier, Rosstat stated that the Russian carsharing market in January – August 2025 grew by 16% year-on-year and amounted to 46.76 billion rubles. It was noted that during this period, consumers in Moscow spent 45.5 billion rubles on short-term car rental services, an increase of 17% year-on-year. In the Moscow region, the figure increased by 6% and amounted to 107.5 million rubles.
