Putin has created a commission to counter the financing of terrorism and extremism

On October 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that creates an Interdepartmental commission on countering the financing of terrorism and extremist activities. The relevant document was published on October 23 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"I decree <...> to transform the Interdepartmental Commission on Countering the Financing of Terrorism into the Interdepartmental Commission on Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Extremist Activities," the document says.
