Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 15 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies over the regions of Russia. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on October 23.

"In the period from 12:00 Moscow time to 16:00 Moscow time, 15 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that 14 drones were eliminated over the territory of the Belgorod region, another drone was shot down over the Bryansk region.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems had shot down 139 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past night over the territory of Russia. Drones were neutralized over Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Ryazan, Rostov, Tambov, Volgograd, Orel and Kaluga, Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea.
