Stavropol summed up the results of the first regional season of the Business Battle startup competition, the organizers' press service reported. The final of the project took place on September 23 with the support of VTB, the government of the Stavropol Territory and RANEPA.

The main prize — 1 million rubles from VTB for business development — was awarded to Svetlana Eroshchenko with the project of the ABVGDeika center for the development of intelligence for children. Ekaterina Glushchenko took the second place with the online school project "Entrepreneurial Thinking". She will receive the opportunity to study for free under the MBA program at IBDA RANHiGS. The prize for the third place — 300 thousand rubles from the partner of the competition, ASB agricultural holding, was awarded to Elena Cheremisina for the project to support mothers of special children, Doctormama.

The SVGalactica AI agency of Sergey Yasinsky and Svetlana Dobrova took the fourth place and received a certificate for business support infrastructure services from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory. A similar certificate was awarded to Stanislav Kochergin for a project to produce a hemostatic sponge based on a biopolymer, which took fifth place.

"Business Battle has become an effective platform for finding and supporting entrepreneurs who are ready to change the economy of their regions. We see a high interest in the project from small and medium-sized businesses, which indicates a growing entrepreneurial potential. We systematically support initiatives that create conditions for scaling ideas and developing business activity in the regions," said Denis Bortnikov, Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board.

The Business Battle was held in Stavropol for the first time. Applications for participation were submitted by more than 120 entrepreneurs of the region. The mentors selected projects for their teams, which then went through several stages of acceleration, and five projects reached the finals.

"In Stavropol, much attention is paid to supporting businesses and creating an environment where entrepreneurs can implement their ideas. The Business Battle is one of such platforms where the resources of the state, business and education are combined. I am confident that the competition will become an annual event and will take its place on the regional business agenda, helping aspiring entrepreneurs take the first step," said Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory.
