The Yakutsk — Nizhny Bestyakh ferry has switched to off-season operation. This is due to the deterioration of the hydrological situation and the beginning of active ice formation on the Lena River, according to the Ministry of Transport of the Sakha Republic.

The ferry is currently operating normally. Transportation according to the new schedule will last until the end of October. The off-season tariff is also valid.

Six ferries and the tugboat Mechanic Kurbatov are involved in the route. The departure of the ships takes place as they are filled with vehicles, writes IA YakutiaMedia.

For the convenience of passengers and drivers, payment points have been set up on both banks of the river. The fare is accepted before entering the ferry area.

Earlier it was reported that in Yakutsk, from the village of Tabaga, the construction of the first bridge support over the Lena River was completed. The second pillar is planned to be built by the end of 2025.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
